Life at Millridge
Millridge is a Condominium Association run and funded by residents. Our Council (Board of Directors) is composed of seven elected owners with staggered terms. The Council holds regular meetings, establishes and maintains budgets and enforces rules and regulations. They work closely with our Property Manager and Financial Services firm. Two general meetings for owners are held during the year – an Annual Meeting in April at which elections for Council are held and a Semi-annual meeting in November.
The Association takes care of the grounds, including snow removal, hardscaping, exterior of the buildings, improvements and repairs in the Manor House, etc. These services are funded by the monthly fees of residents. Individual owners are responsible for all interior issues in their units and for their patios, courtyards and balconies.
The Property Management company employs a full-time caretaker for Millridge. The caretaker's responsibilities are jointly determined by the Management company and Council. The caretaker is not permitted to do work for individual residents during working hours, but may take on jobs in his own time if he chooses.
Any owner wishing to change an architectural feature of his unit must submit a written request to Council for permission.
The Residents only pages of the website provide information, rules & regulations, forms, issues of the Millridge Monitor and photo albums of events and scenes of the community for current residents.
The Manor House, our version of a clubhouse, is available for residents to rent for private parties and events depending on availability.
The Millridge Monitor is a monthly community newsletter distributed digitally to your email address. It contains information from Council, committees and residents.
There is a vibrant social life at Millridge. In addition to parties hosted by residents, our Social Committee plans varied events throughout the year. Most events are held in our Manor House but, during pool season, there are gatherings around the pool.
Since all the committees are comprised of residents, there are always volunteer opportunities for residents who want to get involved.
